The Happening at the Forty is a free community Festival with events for all ages scheduled over a 3 day period in Grimsby, Ontario. Main Street, Ontario Street and Coronation Park is where all the events take place. From Military Re-enactments to Face Painting, and Live Music, the streets of Downtown Grimsby come alive with activity for residents and visitors alike. Stroll down Main Street and shop the sidewalk sales. Grab a delicious lunch on one of the great outdoor patios. Listen to live music on Main Street. Talk to the representatives of our Service Clubs and find out how you can get involved. Feel like a kid and have your face painted. Linger in Coronation Park and learn about the history and the future of Grimsby through the Historical Society and our 1812 Historic Village, complete with over 20 re-enactors, including a surgeon, candle maker, leather worker, wood worker and more. At 2:00 pm, a Militia will march from the Grimsby Square Plaza right into Coronation Park, accompanied by the Grimsby Pipe Band. NEW this year, at dusk a spectacular Fireworks display right over Downtown Grimsby, an event not to be missed. Something for everyone at the Happening at the Forty.
